Working from Home? Visit these 5 Work-Friendly Spaces with Free WiFi in Singapore

Working from home (WFH) is the millennial’s dream come true. However, WFH does not mean going hiking and posting it online (yikes).  In fact, WFH can be pretty tough in its own sense. After all, you have to resist this…

And stop…

To be productive (and keep your job), you have to find a conducive environment for work. We understand your pain and hence, the Venuerific team has compiled the list of 5 Work-Friendly Spaces with Free WiFi in Singapore:

  1. The Moon
  2. Komma, PLQ Mall
  3. OTC Cafe
  4. Butter Studio
  5. Grids & Circle

1. The MoonBookstore, lifestyle cafe

reading room at The Moon

If you have not heard of The Moon before, you have to add this out-of-the-world book haven into your list. Created by book lovers, this idyllic 3-storey cafe is a godsend for a quiet and serene afternoon in the city’s core. The only distractions you will face here are the enthralling titles on their bookshelves.

I recommend you try working on the second floor which is curated as a cosy living room. You will be so comfortable you won’t even feel like leaving.

Anytime you are feeling peckish or tired, reward yourself with their fudgy choco cake + raspberry coulis ($9), which are guaranteed to give you that much-needed sugar boost. And don’t miss out on their speciality drinks, the Chai ($6 – $7) and Chunky Monkey Smoothies ($8)!

P.S This is a popular event space in Singapore, so remember to check if they have any event bookings here before heading down!

Address: 37 Mosque St, Singapore 059515
Capacity: 1 - 50 pax

2. Komma, PLQ Mall

Kómma is a social space cafe in Paya Lebar Quarter, popular with students and working adults alike. One reason is that the cafe lets in a healthy amount of natural light, creating a conducive environment for work. If your friends are WFH, invite them along to work together in this beautifully-designed cafe. Don’t say bojio!

Most likely, your primary focus is to get work done. However, after trying their iced latte ($5.50), you will be Instagramming this sweet nectar instead. This event space regularly holds interesting and fun workshops so if you are lucky enough to be there, just go along with it and discover a new skill! Discover more!

Did you know there is a cafe in the National Library? Nestled in a tranquil corner on the third floor, you will find a cosy space for you to work in solitude. For students, a treasure trove of research books are all around you so you won’t have to make additional trips just to write that report.

Whenever you feel hungry, choose from their wide variety of food choices to spoil the inner gourmet in you. The OTC Cafe has many healthy items on their menu like acai bowls and rainbow salads. Save more money with their lunchtime set meals that come with a free iced tea and either a scoop of premium pistachio gelato or the soup of the day.

Butter Studio is a rare halal bakery located at Jalan Besar. A refuge from the busyness of life, it is a homely cafe where you can get those productive hours.

This homegrown artisan bakery loves to adapt familiar bakes into exciting specials so do spare some time to try out their sweet treats. I personally recommend the cookie butter cream cheese tarts ($6.90)! However, do note that it might get crowded in here so please exercise proper cafe etiquette and consider giving your seat up during meal hours.
