What’s your favourite part of a holiday? Apart from the actual holiday itself, my personal favourite would be planning for the itinerary. Don’t get me wrong. I am definitely not the type of holidaymaker who operates on a military schedule. But I love imagining what the day would look like during my holiday despite not following what I have planned exactly. And everything just got to a whole new level once I add pictures, videos, and making everything into a Powerpoint Deck (shoutout to my friend for pulling me into this new world of planning). The big question is, can a Singapoliday be more than just a visit to the usual tourist attractions that we already know of?

Well, let’s find out together in this 2020 Family Singapoliday: 2 Days 1 Night Itinerary to Use Your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers.

08:30 – Farm Tours at Kranji Countryside

Not many things in life are worth waking up early for. But this Farm Tours experience has definitely piqued my interest. As an urbanite who mainly spends time in the CBD, the thought of farming in Singapore has never crossed my mind. Hence, it is definitely a surprise to know that we not only have one or two, but three farms in the package!

Meet your tour leader in Kovan Hub and then kickstart your Singapoliday with a journey to the West. This package not only includes entrance tickets to all three farms, but also a two-way transport to Kranji Countryside, so you can sit back and get the extra snooze on your way there.

First stop on the tour will be the Hay Dairies Goat Farm. Learn more about the benefits of goat milk. Watch the rapport between farmers and their goats as they milk their goats early in the morning. You can also purchase alfalfa hays and have a hands on experience feeding the goats. Next, the tour will continue to Bollywood Veggies farm. In this ‘Paradise on Earth’, you can have a relaxing walk surrounded by greenery. On top of that, you also get to learn interesting facts about the plants and the ecosystem. There is also a shop within the farm, where you can purchase herbs and fruits produced by the farm itself. The tour will then end at Kok Fah Technology Farm where you will be happy to know that this hydroponic greenhouse farm also organises weekend market, offering a selection of fresh vegetables and fruits.

As the tour ends, you will be chauffeured back to Kovan again.

Alternatively, if you’re feeling fancy or would like to have a good cup of coffee, head to Amber Ember, a chic cafe with dusty pink interiors serving brunch menu like jaffles (brioche toasties), waffles, and baked goods.

15:00 – Nerf Action experience

The next programme in your Singapoliday is definitely gonna get your kids excited. The Nerf Action Experience will bring out everyone’s competitive spirits with its exciting challenges and obstacle course. The Massive Ticket costs $39, giving you 3-hour access to three zones within the arena, including Compete, Conquer, and Create or Challenge Zone.

In the Compete zone, players will be split into 2 worlds. One with the mission to secure vaccines in a battle against zombies, while the other tries to invade a new planet to save the world. In the Conquer zone, players try to conquer their fear of heights from attempting the obstacle course inspired by the world’s harshest terrain. Children below 6 years old can also have a race while attempting the obstacle course in the Challenge Zone.

Where: Marina Square | Duration: 3 hours

SRV: Available | Price: $39

18:00 – Dinner at Yellow Cab Pizza Co.

After a long tiring day, have a fuss-free dinner with your family in Yellow Cab Pizza Co. With its extensive menu, there is definitely something for everyone! While the kids enjoy their pizza, the adults can also have a sip of beer with a side of hot wings. The best thing is, the restaurant is located within Marina Square, so you won’t have to travel again for your dinner, saving you time and money!

Once you’re done with dinner, head home and rest up to prepare for another day of adventure.

Next day

Start your day early with a tour in Kampong Gelam. Get ready to update your Instagram with colourful shots of the art murals decorating this heritage street.

If you’re up for a food hunt, there are also several popular cafes in the area where you can have your Eggs Benedict for breakfast or simply choose between the local Malay or Chinese food in the area to get your breakfast fix. What stood out for this tour package is the fact that it doesn’t end at just the walking tour, but you will also get to visit the Click Museum and learn about the history of cameras and its evolution and get hands-on with drumming lessons as well as Clay-making lessons. There are definitely enough activities to keep the entire family engaged during this 5 hours tour.

Located right next to the Thian Hock Keng temple, the Chong Wen Ge Cafe serves a good spread of Peranakan dishes, including its signature Nyonya Laksa that is served with 2 giant prawns in it. With the thick and creamy broth and the view of their courtyard seating area featuring intricate Peranakan design, you’re sure going to have your money worth for this meal.
