Venue Owners Guide to Events in Singapore: Phase 2 HA

2. Confirm vaccination status.

  • If there are more than 50 people attending the event, all attendees are expected to:
    • be fully vaccinated
    • have recovered from COVID-19 OR
    • have a negative PET
  • Ask the event organiser to provide you a list of who falls into each category. Use this to split everyone up into these three groups to assist you with checks on the day of.
  • It is your choice as venue owners to ask for proof of status of each guest before the event. It is important for you to check it on the day.
  • On the day of, make sure you check identification alongside the requested proof.
  • Pro-tip: Set up three separate tables within the venue near the arrival area and register attendees based on their status. This will allow for a more organised flow and will make the process easier!
    • For vaccinated individuals, you can check vaccination status 3 different ways (and all against their identification):
      • TraceTogether App
      • HealthHub MOH Certificate
      • Physical Vaccination Card
    • For those who recovered from COVID-19, you can check their:
      • First positive PCR test [and latest negative test result depending on when they were infected]
    • For those who have taken a PET you can check:
      • TraceTogether App shares COVID-19 test results (see below)
      • HealthHub COVID-19 Records
      • Negative Test SMS
      • Digital certificate (If applicable)
From TraceTogether App, both vaccination and any recent tests will reflect here.

3. Ensure contact-tracing is in place.

Before the event, confirm that you have the correct contact details for all attendees and keep the records handy for at least 14 days after the event. Set up your SafeEntry QR code in a convenient and visible location. From August 19th onward, there is no requirement for temperature screening.

4. Check all COVID-19 safety measures at the Venue.

  1. Is there enough space to accommodate between 2-1000 people in your space?
  2. What is a safe distance between tables and chairs?
  3. Are there a maximum of 5 seats around a table for F&B?
  4. Are there enough sanitation stations? [Sanitisers, extra masks].

5. Have fun!

As venue owners, you’ve all had a difficult year! Enjoy your chance to lend your venue to someone’s special day or a big conference! You’ve earned it!
We hope this guide makes it easier for you as a venue owner to help organise yourself for your next events. Make sure to stay updated with the guidelines on gov.sg, stay safe and good luck!
