Trending Pinterest-Inspired Christmas Decorations 2021

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Now that Christmas is only a month away, it’s time to bring your space alive with the joy of the festive season. Whether or not you celebrate, it’s a great way to usher in the holidays and new year! Check out what Pinterest-inspired Christmas decorations are trending in 2021!

1. Movies

A movie-themed Christmas is a super fun way to celebrate. You can be unconventional, and choose from your favourites. Check out these Marvel, Disney and Star Wars Christmas decorations! Go with a classic green tree and decorate with DIY ornaments on recycled materials, like cardboard, old paper and bring your creative side out- or get a coloured tree to match the theme.

2. Sustainable

Considering more eco-friendly Christmas decoration is definitely a good idea. Trends aside, it’s a great way to cut your carbon footprint and be mindful of the environment around you. Instead of a conventional Christmas tree, why not buy a plant or succulent that you’ll keep after Christmas? Good for you, for your home and the earth. And for decor, consider making these DIY stars out of newspaper and other materials.

3. Colour-Themed

Adorn your faded walls with beautiful colours this Christmas. Opt for a Pink, Blue or Purple Christmas! Change the vibe with LED lights, and use old fabrics to make decorations for your trees and home. Check out these boards for inspiration!

4. Candyland

Make some tasty desserts and DIY candy decor with materials at home! Cotton, or some materials from an art store could really come to use! And, once you’re done with your candy Christmas decoration, re-purpose it for your home. Be mindful that using real candy in the tropical climate is likely to lead to a sticky situation and ants!

5. Safari

Take advantage of the warm and tropical weather and turn your home into a Christmas safari. Animal stuffed toys and prints will bring this vision to life. You can also DIY animal prints with some paints, and keep your masterpieces for another occasion post-Christmas!

6. Boho

Go Boho! Get the vibe going with neutral colours and bases, and create unique looking decorations in your home. Use materials like cardboard to build your decorations, and look below for some arts and crafts inspiration. It’s simultaneously Christmas-themed and not- so you can re-use your crafts later on!

Make your Christmas decorations this year extra special- whether you go all out or just hang an ornament. The holiday season is a great opportunity to explore your creativity and imagination, and bring it to life! Happy decorating 🙂 If you prefer to celebrate outside of your home, check out some top venues on Venuerific for your Christmas celebrations!
