Things to do this weekend: Singapore’s 51st National Day

National Day is almost here and it will be SG51! Venuerific has rounded up fun and festive activities you can do on the National Day holiday and also for the month of August. So, round up your family and friends for the exciting times ahead!

1. The biggest celebration of the weekend: Fireworks at the National Stadium

Fireworks are always an exciting highlight of the National Day Parade. This year, the fireworks will be held at the National Stadium for the first time since it was rebuilt (also the first time for an indoor fireworks display to complement the outdoor fireworks!) Watch at home on your TV or for FREE at the stadium by joining together.

2. Relaxing stroll and drinks with a sight of fireworks at Marina Bay

And because it will not be in the usual Marina Bay area, those spots where throngs of crowds camped out in last year won’t work this time around. Instead, the outdoor fireworks will be set off across the Kallang Basin.

If you want to catch a glimpse of them without getting squashed by the crowd, you can enjoy views of the Marina Bay Waterfront at The Pelican Seafood Bar & Grill. With a casual laid-back ambience, The Pelican provides a classic East American cuisine consisting of premium seafood and grilled selections.

3. Join the Majulah National Day Fiesta at CÉ LA VI Club

Enjoy the stunning rooftop setting atop the Marina Bay Sands with panoramic views of the city skyline while you dine and party to the excitement of the National Day Parade from 12 noon. Savour the Singaporean‐inspired Menu and dance to the beats of afro-latin, soulful house and nu disco tunes by a unique line up of guest and resident DJs till late. It’s a party here all day long!
