On this coming Friday (March 25), the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station will be open to the public! It was built in 1932, and was part of a network operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), the main railway operator in Malaysia, allowing patrons to ride to and fro Malaysia and Singapore via the causeway. However, the railway operations at the station ceased from 2011. Besides its rich history, it is also one of Singapore’s most Instagrammable locations.

A 1990s-themed art market will be open from 3pm to 9pm, with more than 100 art, retail and F&B booths, featuring handmade craft items by local designers, baked goodies by local bakers. There will also be live musical performances by local bands, and art installations in the station. It is a collaboration between Singapore Land Authority and The Local People.
