Venuerific Choice Awards 2023: Winners Revealed

The last year was all about recovery for the industry. Event venues in Singapore happily reopened their doors to marriages, birthdays, corporate dinners, and everything in between. Still, some practices from the pandemic, such as hybrid events and co-working, stayed;  ushering in a new era of #CelebrateAnywhere, which the Venuerific Choice Awards 2023 took into consideration. 

For 2023, we added a new voting category, offered larger prizes than ever before, and witnessed nominations for new venues in this year’s VCAs campaign. Because of this, the Venuerific team would like to thank everyone involved in deciding this year’s VCA 2023 winners. #VCA2023 truly outshone its predecessor by redefining its 8 categories and choosing its 80 nominated venues.

As always, the VCAs wouldn’t have been possible without our 8 sponsors contributing prizes worth over $10,000. This, along with everyone’s belief in #CelebratingAnywhere propelled votes to beyond 3,000 across all categories: Most Popular Event Venue, Best Restaurant Event Venue, Best Event Space for Meetings, Rising Star Event Venue, Best Wedding Event Venue, Most Innovative Event Venue, Most Instagrammable Event Venue, and Best Kids Birthday Event Venue.

Here are the 8 venues that won in their respective categories:

For Best Wedding Event Venue, SK Hall outshone the rest of its competitors. This quaint wedding venue at Norris Road proudly has the facilities needed for a smooth, intimate celebration. From the elegant stage decor to 8-seater round tables with eye-catching centrepieces, SK Hall is there for soon-to-be weds.

For Most Innovative Event Venue, the winner is 21Above. This VCAs newcomer provides a spot where you can sing your hearts out, dance the night away, and dive into a ball pit — all in one night! With an al fresco dining area and a large kitchen for entertaining, this 21Above has proven itself as a flexible, innovative space for all.

For Most Instagrammable Event Venue, Terra Loft comes home with the prize. Designed to provide comfort and style, this venue has amenities that add a special touch to your events. Its industrial interior design makes every nook and corner Instagram worthy. Not to mention gives you and your guests something to smile about at all times.

For Best Kids Birthday Event Venue, VCA 2022 winner All To Gather bested 9 other spaces. A family-friendly space, this event venue has books, board games, a video projector, a play area, a stage and much more! Transform your kids birthday party however you want with All To Gather 3200 sq ft of pure fun and entertainment. 

For Best Restaurant Event Venue, KOMYUNITI Bar & Restaurant has a back-to-back win. This space in Orchard Road continued to deliver this year at the helm of Head Chef Benny Lim and award-winning mixologist, As’ad (better known as Utt). This space is best known for its minimalist but sophisticated cocktails and captivating blend of Eastern and Western flavours.  

For Best Event Space for Meetings, NTU at one-north takes the cake yet again! Also last year’s winner, this venue continues to provide for its clients with state-of-the-art amenities that include projectors, smart TVs, in-house F&B, and flexible meeting spaces. From seminar rooms to lecture theatres and more, NTU at one-north has it for you!

For Rising Star Event Venue, Velixir was victorious. With high ceilings, chic décor, and an atmosphere that exudes sophistication, this event venue made waves in 2023. Indulge in their range of amenities that include pool tables, electronic darts, karaoke, Nintendo Switch, and board games. (All while enjoying their cocktail packages!) 

Lastly, Venuerific Choice Awards 2023’s Most Popular Event Venue goes to: BAROUV! Nestled in the heart of Singapore, this event space has a breathtaking rooftop view perfect for cocktail parties, birthdays, and any other celebration under the sun (literally!) Its sophisticated lighting and delicious cocktails make for gatherings that make beautiful memories for years to come.
