These mini soup dumplings are one of my favourite foods in the world. Jam-packed with flavour (especially when eaten with sliced ginger and vinegar), it’s impossible not to get addicted! Needless to say, discovering there was a xiao long bao buffet was like a dream come true.

At Crystal Jade’s branch at Holland Village (right next to Holland Village MRT station), you can have unlimited amount of xiao long bao for dinner. However, due to the popularity of the place, you are allocated a timeslot and they are extremely strict about keeping to the time. Also, it’s highly recommended that you make a phone call to reserve your seats before heading down. Besides xiao long bao, the buffet includes hotpot, so that means unlimited amount of beef, pork, fishballs, enoki mushrooms, and many more!

This infamous and pungent fruit happens to be well liked here in Singapore, and if you are a durian-lover, the durian dessert buffet at Goodwood Park Hotel is your kind of heaven.

This is a real cause for celebration for all you prata lovers! At only $7.90, you can have unlimited flow of prata with 16 varieties to choose from. The buffet can be found at Prata Corner, a humble Indian Muslim Eating House located just a short walk away from Kembangan MRT station. Prata flavours include the usual egg prata, cheese & mushroom prata, and more unique options such as pineapple prata, ikan bilis prata and strawberry prata (which tasted pretty good, surprisingly). I gave the prata buffet a shot with my friends, and the maximum I could have was 6 before I learnt that there’s only so much prata one could take. The serving time is long because the prata comes all at once, so take it slow and don’t order too much at a go.

Meat-lovers, you need to know about this all-you-can-eat Brazilian Barbeque buffet at Carnivore. The buffet experience is quite an interesting one. You are given a stand, which is red on one side and green on the other. The green side says “Yes, Please!”, which indicates to the meat waiters that you want more meat. If you need a rest, just turn it over to the red side. The buffet spread includes over 15 hot and cold salads, soups, appetizers and tradition dishes, aside from the free-flow high quality meats. Moreover, there is a Sunday Brunch promotion ongoing now at the MBS and The Grandstand outlets, and the buffet is going for only $34++ per adult and $10 nett per child.

- Indonesian Cuisine Buffet
Dining at The Rice Table is a unique experience in itself. The dishes are served all at once in small portions, and laid out on table warmers to ensure that it is kept warm throughout the meal. Think of it as tzechar, but free-flow. There are a total of 15 dishes for the lunch buffet, and 20 dishes for the dinner buffet, including sumptuous dishes such as Beef Rendang Curry, Grilled Chicken Skewers, Tofu Omelette, and Sotong Asam (and of course, free-flow rice). I’ve been there personally, and I can vouch for the good service (they are very prompt in serving your dishes and refilling your rice) and delicious food! I had 4 servings of rice, and only stopped eating because my lunchtime was ending.
